This role will be responsible for manual testing of AI-driven IDE plugins/extensions across multiple operating systems and IDE environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed manual testing of IDE plugins/extensions across various operating systems, focusing on interface and functionality
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product specifications and identify testing requirements
- Design and execute test cases to validate code functionalities and user interface
- Document test results, report and track bugs, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, and potential problems
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in manual testing
- Strong understanding of software development and testing life cycles
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge on GIT commands, Basic CLI commands for operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Must have knowledge and hands on Basic SQL commands
- The candidates must have deep understanding of their current or most recent project, including technical details and project management aspects
Good To Have:
- Experience with IDEs like Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA etc.
- (Optional) Familiarity with AI concepts and applications in software development, Prompt Engineering etc
